Artist Statement
Creating art is human nature.  To deny ourselves that would be to not only cheat the world from experiencing what is inside of us, but also we would be cheating our soul from a very natural form of self-expression. I use fibers and textiles the way a painter uses a canvas and paint.  I find the texture of fabrics adds a layer of depth and beauty to my ideas as work with them.  I not only combine the traditional aspects of quilting with my artwork, but also include glass beads, fibers, dyes and paints and so many more found objects so that each piece is not only a reflection of who I am, but also what my creation needs to be.
